The NovaStar VX400 is an all-in-one designed to simplify digital signage deployments with an ultra-large loading capacity. It combines both video processing and display control features into a single, powerful unit.
As a respected brand that focuses on LED display control systems, providing solutions with high stability, NovaStar's controllers are well-known for their durability and outstanding performance, making them a formidable, high-performing, and dependable digital signage player for continuous 24/7 use, particularly when consistent functioning and reliability are essential.
The VX400 can function as a capable LED display Controller, a high-quality Image/Video processor and perform as a strong Fiber Converter or can be set to operate in Bypass working mode as required. Gathering all these incredible potentials eliminates the need for multiple devices and simplifies workflows, making it a versatile and cost-effective device for LED display setups.
Performance
The NovaStar VX400 LED Display Controller can handle high-resolution images and receive various kinds of video inputs. It improves image quality by optimizing each pixel to ensure that visuals are clear and detailed, and it can drive up to 2.6 million pixels with customized resolutions up to 10240 pixels in width or 8192 pixels in height.
Features
The VX400 creates consistent, detailed, and vibrant images using contemporary techniques. The following are the notable characteristics:
Multiple kinds of hot backup: The VX400 has multiple layers of redundancy, including device-level, output Optical and Ethernet ports backup, to ensure uninterrupted operation and reduce failures for optimal dependability.
All-round color adjustment: This feature in VX series controllers allows you to modify the color parameters of the LED screen like brightness, contrast, saturation, hue and Gamma ensuring that the displayed image is accurate and visually pleasing to the eyes.
Pixel Level Brightness and Chroma Calibration: This solution is provided by using NovaLCT and NovaStar calibration software, which calibrates the brightness and color of each individual pixel, eliminating discrepancies and providing a more visually appealing image.
Preset Saving and Loading: For events, stage shows, and other applications where display settings must vary often, it enables the saving and recall of up to ten distinct display setup configurations.
Powerful video scaling processing: The stepless output scaling feature, which is based on SuperView III image quality processing technology, allows the output image to be scaled continuously and seamlessly. The output image's size can be altered without any noticeable jumps, making for a seamless and effective display experience.
Low Latency: The delay between the input source and receiving card can be minimized to twenty lines by switching on bypass mode and low latency function. Low latency guarantees real-time synchronization between the actual action and the video stream, decreasing lag and enhancing the overall performance of the display, a critical characteristic for live events organizers.
10G Optical Fiber: Thanks to its 10G optical technology, VX400 offers a fiber solution with 2x10G channels (each channel carries/delivers up to 4 gigabit Ethernet ports data) in addition to electrical gigabit Ethernet ports. In order to transmit high-quality video content without signal loss, it allows high-speed noise-free data transfer over long distances.
Cascading: The capabilities of this processor can be expanded by connecting up to four units (for image mosaic). This will be necessary to manage large, complicated and extensive LED display configurations like stadium panels and indoor/outdoor concert displays.
Output
For common medium-size LED displays that need exceptional clarity and continuous operation, the VX400 is the best option. Clear, detailed, and continuous picture is ensured by four gigabit Ethernet ports with a maximum loading capacity of 2,600,000 pixels, and an HDMI 1.3 provides monitor and video output modes as well as output resolution adjustment. The VX400 has also two 10G optical ports for fast and reliable data transmission over long distances.
Optical Fiber Ports
The VX400 provides two optional 10G optical ports (for SFPs), The OPT1 port is self-adaptive, selectable as a video output when paired with a fiber optic converter, or a video input when connected to a Pixelhue video processor, (with a maximum capacity of 1x 4K×1K@60Hz or 2x 2K×1K@60Hz video inputs, ensure dependable, fast data transfer over extended distances) while OPT 2 duplicates or backs up the output on four Ethernet ports.
The Mosaic Mode accessed to the OPT 1 that allows an input to be split and distributed across multiple connected displays (cascading up to 4 units) for large, seamless images.
Please note; SFPs are optional and if required along with this purchase, users can place orders for single mode and multimode SFPs here on SinaPlug separately.
Input
The maximum input resolution that the VX400 can accept through 3G-SDI port, is 1920x1080@60Hz, and with DVI and HDMI 1.3 ports, it can reach 1920x1200@60Hz. It also can handle a maximum supported width or height of 3840 pixels (3840×648@60Hz) or 2784 (800×2784@60Hz).
Control
To simplify controlling of complicated LED displays and ensure that all devices are synced to a single reference, the VX400 provides an Ethernet port and a USB Type-B (connects to the control PC), Furthermore, USB ports enable the cascade of four VX400 units, ensuring all devices are accurately synchronized to a single reference.
Sensing
For the best and most energy-efficient viewing experiences, the light sensor port is connected to the light sensor to gather ambient brightness, which results in an automated display brightness adjustment capability.
Software Configuration and Tools
The VX400 can operate with NovaLCT and V-Can software to significantly facilitate in-field operations and control, such as screen configuration, Ethernet port backup settings, layer management, preset management, and firmware update.
Additionally, the pixel level brightness and chroma calibration is supported for each single LED through NovaLCT and NovaStar calibration software.
Operation
The VX400's CE, CB, CMIM, EAC, FCC, IC, KC, RCM, UKCA, and UL certifications ensure flawless continuous operation. Additionally, it performs perfectly in extreme ambient temperatures among 0°C and +45°C whenever powered via a 100-240VAC input voltage consuming maximum power of 35W.
Applications
The VX400 can be used extensively in applications including medium and high-end rental, stage control systems, and fine-pitch LED panels because of its strong video processing and transmission capabilities as well as other exceptional features.
