NovaStar Taurus TB40 Controller

The Taurus TB40 is a new-generation of cloud network multimedia player (upgrade version of TB4) launched by NovaStar for full-color LED displays and digital signage environments. NovaStar players provide excellent performance and stability, making them an ideal choice for continuous 24/7 digital signage operation.  

Performance 

The TB40's significant 1.8 GHz quad-core ARM A55 processor, 1 GB of RAM, and maximum loading capacity of 1,300,000 pixels allow it to present the details impactful. Smooth 4K/FHD/HD/H.265 video decoding and flawless playback of up to 1x 4K, 2x 1080p, 4x 720p, 4x 480p, or 6x 360p are made possible by this powerful combination. 

Control 

The TB40 provides users with All-round control plans feature, including remote management across various devices (PCs, smartphones, tablets) linked to the internet. It supports flexible scheduling options, encompassing both local and internet-based commands. Notably, this player enables synchronized playback across multiple screens, leveraging precise time synchronization via GPS (with optional 4G/5G module), RF (with optional RF module), or NTP 

Storage 

The TB40 offers 32GB of storage for videos, photos, and applications. For greater capacity, it offers expandable storage via USB 3.0, which can also be used for firmware upgrades and content import. Cloud storage integration adds further flexibility for content management 

Connection 

The Taurus TB60's various connectivity options allow it to smoothly integrate into a variety of digital signage networks. It supports plenty of networking configurations, including RJ45 Ethernet, Wi-Fi AP, Wi-Fi STA, and both Wi-Fi AP+STA modes for enhanced remote deployment capabilities. Furthermore, optional 4G/5G cellular connectivity expands the network's capabilities for remote installations. 

Operation 

For those who would rather use an Android-based platform for their signage requirements, NovaStar multimedia players are ideal. The NovaStar platform ensures a smooth user experience in a variety of cases by supporting a wide range of software applications designed for certain management needs, such as ViPlex Express, NovaCloud, VNNOX, ViPlex Handy, and NovaLCT. 

The TB40 is certified to CQC, SRRC, and RoHS standards, ensuring flawless, continuous operation and compliance with regional regulations. Powered by a 100-240VAC to DC 12V adapter, it operates efficiently with a maximum power consumption of 18W. 

Management and Publishing 

The TB40 offers flexible playback options, including synchronous mode (with 1920x1200 @60Hz HDMI output) and asynchronous mode. Furthermore, it leverages ViPlex Express software for efficient display management, supporting both local and cloud-based operations for seamless program editing and publishing.  

Sensing 

The sensor ports on the TB60 continuously monitor ambient temperature, humidity, and brightness. This real-time monitoring allows dynamic display adjustments, resulting in optimized presenting experiences and enhanced energy efficiency. 

I/O Ports 

The TB40 boasts robust connectivity options, including two Gigabit Ethernet ports (one configurable as a backup) for reliable high-speed transmission. It also features HDMI 1.3 input/output ports (including synchronized mode), a 3.5mm audio interface, multiple USB ports (Type A and Type B), and connectors for Wi-Fi, and 4G (optional). This comprehensive interface ensures seamless integration into diverse signage environments
